Assistant Dean Kim Curtis earned a Ph.D. in American Studies at Saint Louis University and then served as an Assistant Professor in History at Harris-Stowe State University. She advises and mentors university-wide graduate student groups and coordinates interdisciplinary academic, professional, and leadership programming. She works with the Graduate Student Senate; Graduate Professional Council; Bio-entrepreneurial Core; Black Graduate Council; International Graduate Student Association for Career Development and Networking; OutGrads; ProSPER (WU Graduate Students Promoting Science, Policy, Education, and Research), and the Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese, and Indian graduate student associations. She facilitates the annual Graduate Research Symposium, Outstanding Faculty Mentor Awards, and new graduate student orientation, and she collaborates with University offices to provide workshops and resources to address the distinct needs and interests of a diverse graduate student population.
